Build to Last - Sustainable Construction Workshop

There is a continuing call from society and government for UK businesses to operate more sustainably and there are benefits for companies in the construction industry that do so. Public and private sector clients are increasingly demanding that environmental and social issues be addressed in tender proposals and those organisations that ignore this or do not know how to address the problem will increasingly fail to win new work.

To help construction companies realise the opportunities that constructing in a sustainable manner can bring, ConstructionSkills and the Centre for Construction Innovation are delighted to announce the launch of their ‘Build to Last’ programme. The programme is aimed at small and medium sized construction companies and looks at how such companies can improve their businesses through a better understanding of the sustainability agenda.

The first part of the programme will see a series of Sustainable Construction Awareness Workshops taking place throughout the North West. The Workshops in the Merseyside area are supported by MERBEN
